once you have your own authority then what?

One, you DO need authority and Insurance to transport, you're a commercial operation.

Two, People have had their pensions/retirement cut plus with the increase in health insurance, people don't have the income to by luxury items. (RVs). Besides, lots are jammed with them right now.

Hey brother i been out here in this business 10+ years i Have seen alot,done alot and know alot any business that doesnt REQUIRE STRINGENT GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT Is bound to be ran by a few monkeys and Donkeys,People can say what they want im speaking from Experience case in point My dad used to haul for a container company for over 30 years,the ORIGINAL OWNER who started the company died,a real nice man and left the company to his wife now all she does is takes vacations ,now the daughter runs it,as long as the original owner ran the BUSINESS NO PROBLEMS,NON WHATSOEVER HE TOOK CARE OF ALL HIS OPERATORS so then finally after he passed the company went in the toilet,

Pops said enuff was enuff,everytime he went to go to da VA to file for his Retirement the Dispatcher would always drop BIG BIG MONEY LOADS ON HIM TO CHANGE HIS MIND THIS HAPPENED FOR MONTHS,she knew he was a good Operator and liked him because he was reliable,on time,and would always get them out a tight bind,but it came a time where it wasnt about money with pops,FINALLY HE HAD ENUFF and told her i dont give a danmn what loads you got im RETIRING,least to say it didnt end well,alot of bickering and words were passed,she didnt want GOOD PEICE to leave-Read between the lines for those who are smart,it POPS WASNT GETTIN JUST GOOD LOADS wink wink!!But "Brokers will be Brokers and Dispatchers will be Dispatchers" so he tok his truck and sold it

FF years later i have my truck now,and my dads best friend who has his own truck was running with him with the same company at the time,now hes the mellow fellow over there,well lets just say he didnt go any where he kind of "STUCK" around if you know what im saying,

now hes the top dogg gets all the BIG MONEY LOADS,he works 2 -3 times a week and doesnt event call to enquire about the Load,she tells him when they meet up to "SQUARE OFF" How i know all of this he tells me,and i know hes not lying i witnessed it,when i went over with my truck to try n get on we were in the office and she didnt know me from adam,im sitting there waiting for Lovebirds to stop Poking around,

she was skinning and grinning all in his face lol,hes loving her soo good,She sees sunshine everymorning and the only reason Y,Yepp you got it MONEY LOADS, i tried getting business threw her SHE TOLD MY DADS FRIEND O no i CANT DO THAT HE MITE B CRAZY LIKE HIS DAD,I said Really,i rather a HONEST NO,then a bS one you get my Drift,but hey WELCOMe TO THE TRUCKING BUSINESS,if you dont think alot of businesses run like this then to the driver who said i was being and not knowing what i was talking about,U NEED TO WAKE Up

Do all Business run like this
MY Honest Answer is NO, some people run their business on a UP N UP and pretty good
But there are some who do and with me it only takes one time for me to get burned to WISEN UP TO THE GAMES
