When there's snow on the road why do people think it's O.K. to use the whole road. I know everyone has their own comfort level on white roads. Depending on your load/experience etc. you may go pretty slow compared to what someone else may feel comfortable driving. Fine, but if you can't figure out where to be on the road and feel the need to just wander all over a couple of lanes it might be a good idea to park it until the plows have gone by.
There, I feel better now![]()

driving accross US 2 in MI, 4 wheelers will drive in the center of the road and expect you to go into the ditch. I had to come to a complete stop a few weeks ago there as I had to show the driver that he was on MY side of the road. it was a face off and he wanted me to take the ditch.

Up in La Crosse, WI the other day I was making a right turn, but the snow plow has been letting the bank come further and further in to the intersection, there were cars there so I did a button hook to get the trailer out as far as I could, and it still caught the bank that was in the street. my Tandems on the pas. side rode up on the bank instead of cutting thru because I had a empty wagon and It lifted up my Right side drives enough so that I was stuck.
Had to drop the air and that helped bring the tires up a bit more. then I shoved fire wood under the tires that were up and then put the air back into the bags. that put more weight on them it was then and only then that I was able to pull on accross the bank. -
I came down through MI and OH in the snow . It wasn't really slippery but some drivers wouldn't go over 45 m.p.h. . If you can't do better than that , park it . Do you really want to use up 6 hours going 200 miles ? Four wheelers would poke along in the center lane and if you tried to pass on the right they'd move over towards you . I drove over 300 miles in that stuff and never had a wheel slip and didn't see any big trucks off the road .
