Yes, the net will keep you from flying out. You might look like a checker board afterwards but it can prevent death in certain situations. I didn't wear mine in training and my trainer locked the brakes up one night. I warped the ground and was hugging the shifter from that one little incident. I wore it after that, lol.
Driving team you double your chances of getting in a wreck. Many have been killed while sleeping. I don't think the few extra bucks are worth it. Besides you need a little time out of the truck each day. Solo is much more relaxing and you can still make decent money.
one month with covenant and to be continued....

What really scares the #### out of me is my co-driver let's his emotions get in the way of his driving. For example, when he is in a bad mood it affects his driving, becomes more of an agressive driver. Gets stressed way too easily. I'm sure a lot of other drivers are the same way.... they can't drive with a clear head when emotions get In the way.

OK so back on the truck. Co driver picked me up near home on Friday on 7/25. So far co driver hasn't made any mistakes, me as well. Just bought a 12 volt coleman fridge. No more starving on the road. Headed towards kingman,az from st louis, mo. Nice 1500 mile run, should get done in a day. Note to self, get more sleep.

droppped off the load last night at mckee foods in kingman, az. distribution center for little debbies snacks, such as nutty bars, mini donuts, etc... I went inside and there was donuts, pies, nutty bars, pies, everywhere lined up against the wall. I was directed to grab two big boxes of little debbie's cakes off the table by the receiver. free nutty bars and mini chocolate donuts. exactly what a truck driver needs, more junk. Look forward to coming back here for the free donuts lol. First time I ever went to a receiver and they gave me free product..awesome.
Right after we got a load to deadhead to riverside,ca from kingman,az....283 miles. hook preloaded trailer going to kansas city from estes freight lines. unfortunately my co driver is out of hours so we had to repower the load at kingman, az from ca. Now sitting here slowly cooking in this kingman desert waiting for his recap. I guess the free nutty bars and choc donuts make things a little better lol. -
^ My all time favorite delivery. Super nice folks -- do they still have the massaging leather chairs in the driver's lounge?
rpad139 Thanks this. -

Dropped off a load yesterday from arizona to dallas texas. One of our trucks broke down on the side of I40 and had to repower the load. Nice 1000 mile run. They set us up with a preplan before we got done for another. Now we are headed to slc, utah from dallas,tx. Another ok 1300 mile run.
Tomorrow is our deadline for trippaks. I'm expecting about 5500 miles for this week. Me and codriver been staying pretty busy here at covenant. -
Ok, checking places to work again, and I keep being told Covenant, or its subsidy SRT is not it. Can anybody tell me why? Thanks.
-
First of all, who is telling you not to work here? An anonymous from truckersreport? I'm not going to lie I have had some bad days and good days with covenant. A lot of people will complain, don't listen to the negative and make the most of it. I've heard it over and over again from experienced truckers,"they're all the same." Make the most of it and find out yourself. -
rpad139 Thanks this.
