    good afternoon
    I'm sorry if this is the wrong thread, but I just had a driver (my mother) get a ticket in California on I-15 N.
    We are based out of Ohio.
    We are a small company just starting off. Family owned. Speed limit was 55. She was going 67. But he wrote down 71.
    What should I do? How can I get it dismissed? Anyone have any advise or lawyers that can do that?
    Thank you so much and please no rude comments!

    My experience with CHP has been the opposite, being pulled over for 70+ and them writting me for 61.

    Pay the ticket and move on.

    Some fight every ticket, and lots of dollars for doing it.

    Convictions tend to ripple out to affect far more than the cost of the fine, also may affect employability.

    The discrepancy in speed makes me wonder if the detector didn't lock on someone else.

    In Ohio, speeding cars have been known to duck in close to the truck they just passed, and hang the truck with the ticket by being less noticeable. Probably happens elsewhere, that one sprang to mind because it happened to some drivers I know.

    4 miles per hour, 6ft per second...and oh probably $50 in the cost of the fine...Oh not to mention the increased cost of insurance either way she shouldn't have been doing 67 in a 55.

    MJ1657 Thanks this.

    @aussiejosh

    15 over the posted speed limit is considered wreckless driving
