The world could still turn without doctors and lawyers. Sure u would be sick all the time and have legal troubles. The world would shutdown in 2 days if there wasnt anybody to move the goods n services that people rely on. All those jobs u listed the world would only change the way we live. But we could still live on
one of the best things about my job is the farmers

As I said, some truckers think they are more important than others.

We are no more important than many other professions. Everyone has a place in this world to keep things going as we have come accustomed to.
The world kept turning before the industrial revolution, but we are spoiled because of it.
I like the luxury of having things readily available as much as anyone, but I also realize it takes many, many vocational aspects to do it.
I can guarantee if any one of the major suppliers of what we take for granted( or deliver), shut down, it would be immediately felt.Tb0n3 Thanks this. -

A lot of us old school guys came from growing up on farms and then transitioning in to truck drivers.
I spent almost 20 years living the dairy farm life before making the natural transition in to a bull hauler then eventually milk tanker, dry van, lowboy and now 19 years of car hauling.
I will say that drivers who came from the farm life are an industrious bunch.
They have problem solving skills and a can do work ethic to get the job done that is unstoppable.
@ad356 I commend you on your problem solving skills of carrying some coal ash with you knowing on farm pickup there would certainly be days you were going to need it.
I Also commend you for doing what you had to do to get that wash fitting back to the plant with out having to call someone to tell you how to fix the problem.
I do believe though you will be taking some serious ribing from the the boys in the tank room for some time to come lol.Isafarmboy, Lepton1, Flat Earth Trucker and 1 other person Thank this.
