Good of the dash cam. Sad thing is, if he would have been an actual professional driver this would not have happened.
Yes the car is 99% in the wrong, but if the truck driver would have simply slowed down she would not have hit him. I know it's annoying to have to deal with 4 wheeler that can't drive, but this is a perfect example of not driving defensively. He had plenty of time to slow, let the idiot in, instead he held his ground until the idiot hit him.

He is talking to her about who's to blame etc., something my company discourages. Just call authorities. Although he can do what he wants since he's an owner operator. the whole thing takes so much time to sort out, exchange information, get an officer, go to the body shop, etc-wouldn't it be easier to just have let it go and let her merge? Not saying she's right. Just saying he could've just let it go and maybe enjoyed the rest of his evening after shutting down.

 

Another example of what happens when 2 bull-headed people occupy the same space and time

 

If he didnt see her come up in his mirrors he may not have even seen her depending on if he is a low seat rider as I dont think she went past him far enough for him to see her over the hood. One reason I will never be a floor rider.
