Don't think any ltl outfits use speed and lane sensors. I've never heard of them. We are getting elogs someday soon, so I hear. Are there hidden cameras in those things. I'm hearing there is

Con-Way has speed sensors... go over 70 the check engine light comes on, once you hit 75 or so you get reported... Lane sensors I know the freightshakers if you go out of lane or drift the truck makes a sound to warn you, but dont think it reports you

all of our freightliners have collision warning systems, which Ive heard helps in some situations where cars cut you off...Heard it just kills all the momentum of the truck. All good if the weather is good i guess, lane departure warning which hardly if ever works..Some have this really bright blue led that flashes everytime you depart too far from your lane. We are getting EOBR's before the end of the year. One camera at the driver, one facing out.

The newer OD trucks have lane departure warning. Makes a loud farting sound in the stereo speakers on the side it detects lane departure. Luckily my older truck doesn't haven't it.
All the trucks are wired into the system though with the BLU module. It detects overspeed (70+ mph), over-RPM (1500+...nothing you can do about that sometimes though), and idle time. They actually post the company wide rankings every week of who did good and who sucks. -

Don't know if any of these LTL's have people's net. That company can track how fast your going at that moment, if they know your in a 55mph your going 65mph busted. Pretty sure they had the full blitz software cause they were a big radioactive hauler, It's all in the GPS. Xata for US Foods would just tally up how many times you went over 65 and give a report every 3 months. I was considered Jeff Gordon hitting 75 couple times out of 80 drivers. Didn't know they kept track. Lucky my boss was a former driver told me he was most wanted at times and said to chill out. Lol.
