I started registering all of my trailers in Alaska, even when I was still in New Mexico. 30 bucks for a lifetime tag. One trip to Alaska and you either had to pay 30 bucks for a tag, or 30 bucks for a 30 day permit, couple that with dealing with the dmv in NM, it was a no brainer. Especially when Cathy run the private DMV at Tok, I could do it by mail when I traded trailers.
I don’t know about Texas. I’m in Mi. We went to a permanent Registration around 12 yrs ago. The state makes more money, I suppose, except off Guys like Me. Kept last trailer for 12 yrs.
Just do a Maine tag. They need something to do besides planting and digging taters. Staab Agency. Nice people. Google them.
It must be cheap registering trailers there because some mega fleets have all their trailer registered in that state. How much is it in Maine?
Cheap and easy. And ya don’t gotta renew every dang year. My mind is too feeble to spew numbers. Really. Google Staab Agency and see it all first hand. Trying not to be my usual smarty pants. It just makes sense to me for people to look at things for themselves. I am an independent sob and unfortunately I expect others to do the same as I would.
