"Spirit Airlines" is all you need to know.
Graham Cracker, sevenmph, JoeyJunk and 3 others Thank this. -
Because firing employees for theft of a passenger's bags would mean that the airline does not condone theft.Graham Cracker, Crude Truckin', JoeyJunk and 3 others Thank this.

Not just that. Airlines like Spirit usually have government contracts to haul US Mail in the baggage compartments of the aircraft along with passengers bags, basically making it a federal offense, along with any local ordinances applicable. That can open the airline up to liability and legal claims. Never mind that this happened at an airport!
That employee should’ve known better, airports are always under 24/7/365 round the clock surveillance!Graham Cracker, Flat Earth Trucker, JoeyJunk and 2 others Thank this. -
The offending airline employee didn't seem too concerned about being surreptitious and concealing her actions.
Had the gentleman whose bag was pilfered had not complained as much as he did, the whole incident would have went away, in my opinion.mjd4277, sevenmph, Graham Cracker and 1 other person Thank this. -
I flew spirit once. It was terrible. The staff seemingly recruited from fast food restaurants may as well of had cattle prongs as they hurried us along and oh hey they’re measuring bags and weighing them and mine were ok but some people had to whip out that credit card again. Then they cram you into the tiniest seats and if you want food or anything like a movie better have that credit card handy.
They did not have the spirit.Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -
Yes it would have went away. He was smart to make a PRR, and collect the evidence himself.drvrtech77, mjd4277 and Flat Earth Trucker Thank this.

Exactly. What saved him was that surveillance video. The victim also stated he had life saving medication in that bag. That can cost potentially cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars in itself, and that’s if it was covered under insurance, and that’s liability for Spirit as well!
