I would find a better company, before you die or have long term effects of possible carbon monoxide poisoning. A detector would certainly be on the list of things to have.

Agree 100%. Lots out there with really decent, nice trucks to drive and still make a good living. Where is your location?

You went thru extremes to get answers didn't you. Sounds like you are doing local work in your part of the world. Your employment opportunities may be somewhat limited while staying local. If it's a good job and you want to stay there, then I would push the issue as high as you have to. Talk to the owner or higher ups if necessary. Ultimately, the condition of the truck you drive is on you. If it truly is a safety or health issue, then be aggressive!

Just get a cheap carbon monoxide detector and put it in the truck, if it's in the can it'll find it
