Would you get ur personal semi’s oil change done by a company with a van that is equipped with a vac system to suck/clean out all of ur oil plus change any filters and fluid top ups. Done right in a parking lot with ur trailer still hooked up? One hours tops! Average oil change 495$ Looking to invest in such a mobile oil company, looking for advice to see if it would be worth it. Can book online or by phone and make the appointment anywhere in Canada soon to be in the states.
Onsite on demand oil change anywhere anytime?

Does it include greasing the chassis and checking brakes?

The price is going to be a problem. Average oil change price at a Wingfoot or speedco etc. is around
$330 depending on what kind of engine.Opendeckin and bzinger Thank this. -

Travel time really doesn't come into play because these places are next door to truck stops. If there is no waiting, takes bout an hour, maybe an hour and a half. They also do things like check air in your tires, and
do a general inspection to see if anything is wrong. Sometimes, if they are really busy wait time will increase. I stay away from the busy ones. -
The oil and lube places next to truck stops are cheaper and more convenient. Doubt you'll do well investing in a company that does it as a mobile service. You have to charge more than those places to make it financially worth while, and that's a problem to most owner operators and small companies. There are many mobile mechanics, but most don't offer preventative maintenance for a reason. They can't compete with the large companies that do it.
Edit: I also doubt if the large chain truck stops will allow a lube company to come out and service trucks in their parking lots. Leaking or spilled oil destroys asphalt and they would put a stop to that immediately.bzinger, PE_T and blairandgretchen Thank this. -

If you did it as part of a mobile service, change tires, truck trailer repair you might get more work, oil disposal might be a problem.,
