You're lucky you haven't been caught yet. Haven't you seen the signs ? :

" All 'A', 'B', 'C', 'LCV' train, as well as Over Dimensional drivers MUST drink from the trough ......... it is located next to the dumpster out back.

That's pretty rough, there are a lot of Over Dimensional drivers out there! Some of them haul over size loads too.:biggrin_2559:

I think it is absolutly deplorable that the MOT and the OPP have not taken any action regarding the LCV parking in the service areas on the 401. There is going to be a 200% increase of LCV's this year over last year, and for three years I have encountered individuals who totally disregard the assigned areas for LCV parking. They just do not care. A simple sign that say's LCV Permit Parking Only all others will be fined. should stop these people from parking in the spots. Having a picture showing the combination of two trailers is wrong. B-train drivers think this is for them also. The only ones that are allowed in these areas are the holders of permits to haul two 53' trailers on the highways. If you don't have a permit then you should get a fine for parking in these spots.

No such assigned LCV parking in the west and it has not been an issue. I have 10 years pulling them, and there are guys out here pulling things a heck of a lot bigger and longer then turnpikes (over sized oil field stuff). Seems like most things in the east, u need the government to tell you when and where to wipe your ###.

^ You are aware there are more people in Greater Toronto than there are in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba combined right? I've not trucked out east yet, but I think it is safe to assume it is much harder to find truck parking out there.

Maybe if a trucker of 46 years tells you there is an issue with parking out there you might take his word for it rather than calling him a child?

Hey, if you have no troubles finding a place to park your LCV in this province full of nothing but wide open space then obviously there's no issue anywhere in Canada, right?

You continue to assume all you want, hope it works out for ya. I did not call anybody a child. If you read the gentleman's post you will see that there is already designated LCV parking with signs. He is saying they need to change the signs from showing a picture of 2 trailer combinations to saying LCV only and have DOT and Johnny Law police it. Crying for the government to fix everything for you does not work IMO. The biggest, brightest flashing sign and regular enforcement will not stop people from parking in those spots.

Thanks for the population lesson, I was not aware of that.

There's not enough parking in these service areas to begin with so I have no problem or issue with drivers using the spots for LCV's for the simple fact, that....

If you're operating an LCV....you're enabling these companies to steal another driver's job and all drivers should make your life as miserable as possible.
