Because I'm still relatively new to these forums, I thought this would be the right place for the good news. I tried posting in the Politics forum, but one needs at least 20 posts. I searched around for a similar or dupe, but none.

But what you DIDN'T post is telling:
In other words, it was no real big win; either for OOIDA or truck drivers in General. -
OOIDA is mean. At least who I talked to. They hate on company drivers and hate those that choose to live in their truck. I called for legitimate legal advice. Keep this in mind if you are going to give up your rental and dive into the truck and take your time off in a hotel as i did. I was trying to save money, I was told that I DIDN'T DESERVE TO VOTE IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IF I DIDN'T PAY RENT. I paid my association fees, but hell will freeze before I ever call them again for anything. There is a guy there that was very ugly toward me . Every time I call to get legitimate good information, I get connected to him. The supervisor tried to contact me, but I was turned off by then. Smoke and mirrors. They pick their fights, and take credit for legislation that would have happened anyway (are they responsible for IL raising truck speed? Really?) They were less than good to me. My subscription to their mag runs out in '13. Bye bye.platinum, roaddawg92 and RickG Thank this.

since we are resurrecting dead threads.....
http://www.overdriveonline.com/court-issues-final-order-in-minnesota-fatigue-suit/
It's a court order from Sept 2011. Eight months after the last posting. Court is keeping an eye on MSP until 2013 though to ensure they don't try to enforce this again. -
One employee is rude to you and tells you derogatory information so you claim that the whole organization is bad. Did you report that employee to his boss? I am sure they would like to hear about it.
A bad experience with one person and someone starts badmouthing an entire organization. Maybe that is why some people are mad at everyone all the time. -
I could care less your opinion of OOIDA.
The fact that a Federal court shut down the MN State Patrol is the point. -
For some reason just because they sell insurance some people can't see all the good they do for the trucking industry.
-
You are entitled to your opinion on them and others are entitled to theirs as well.
-
As was mentioned earlier , the "good" they do would have happened anyway in most cases .
The post about the rude male on the phone ? I dropped my membership after getting the same treatment from a rude female .
