Do not approach low bridges slowly, you will not make it, hit it full speed, that is what insurance is for. Plus then you get a slightly scratched luxury car for cheap.

Another example of paycheck shortage. There are so many jobs around that nobody decent will work OTR for crappy money. It is so simple that a 6 year old wouldn't even argue that. Company owners, you will eat your own c r ap or the insurance company will make you do it. Prices going up on everything, inflation every year at some 1 to 2.1% as of 2017 and car haulers are charging same or less than 25 years ago. Good luck looosers, nice to watch another f u ck up.
Driver's pay should be $120k for legal hours with many weekends and holidays at home, bonuses extra, damages paid by the company owner, period.

...”the driver thought he could clear the underpass”...

An enclosed carrier where the height never changes and he “thought” he could clear it. I get that S happens, but wow. Just wow!!

Until they start paying car hauler wages they aren't going to get much in the way of drivers. These companies are low balling companies like Reliable and this is what you get. I called McCollister just for giggles and asked about wages. They don't even come close to being competitive with hauling OEM's on an open carrier much less take on the responsibility of moving millions of dollars in cars!

    Kozakvod and buddyd157 Thank this.

They’d have to pay me well north of $2k/day to consider putting up with all the hell and headaches that would come as a result of enclosed units. And well, we know that’s not gonna happen because they dont really want a professional with significant experience. A warm body that can meet the minimum requirements is all they want so they can collect the large side of the paycheck.
