Most insurance companies look at 3 years from the date of the conviction and 15 over is an automatic no go. So I would look at when the conviction is on the speeding ticket and you should be good to go 3 years from that point

I posted my truck on the truckers jobs site linked to this forum and had a mail box full by the next day. I did not have any issues with tickets but worth the try I think.

Beethoven I hope you find a company that'll give you a chance.I don't know about the accident but that speeding ticket is what's hurting you.You were doing 25 mph over the posted speed limit which in many if not all states is reckless .Which then means that charge has to be at least 5 yrs old before the companies insurance will approve you.
Beethoven Thanks this. -
I always thought it was three years. I guess it does not matter that I was in my car. Which really sucks. Here's to hoping.

Nope unfortunately it's 5 yrs.I got a bogus reckless charge in Mass and was'nt even driving or in my trk.But in that state a no parking ticket which it should have been was a reckless ticket and did'nt know that till 2 yrs later when I went to this company and they told me what was on my MVR and could'nt hire me till it's 5 yrs old.I applied to numourous companies and they all said the same thing. Now its way over 5 yrs old.But maybe you'll get lucky and find something.

Not sure how Roehl would look at accident and ticket. Roehl has a flat bed division that O/O can lease their trucks on to. Don't know if they would help you finance headache rack. Think you use company tarps, straps, etc. Would have to go to securement training. Maybe a week with a trainer just to learn about flat bedding.

I really like being with Fremont Contract Carriers. No forced anything. Lots of stuff that runs between Nebraska and Ohio. That is my stomping ground. They do 48 also for those that want to do that. They make every attempt to get everyone home every weekend. In 5 years, only two weekends haven't panned out that way for me. They have both vans and flats. There is a lot of runs that have that would have you taking a load home and delivering Monday morn in your area. Might be worth a try. 800-228-9842 and ask for Scott in recruiting. The outfit is 2/3 O/O and 1/3 company trucks.

I would at least consult with an attorney about that speeding violation. Now that the state has record of it there may be nothing you can do, but consultations are free right ? Ask if there is any way to have it expunged, the record sealed, or ammended to 64 in a 55 or loud muffler or something. I've heard of lawyers pulling off crazier stuff than that before. Doesn't hurt to ask.
Beethoven Thanks this.
