Scale still closed. But that didn't stop them from doing inspections.
Judging by the level of activity comparing 1pm to 9pm I believe its safe to say they are doing solar inspections.

I've been through it a few times but never been inspected. It seems they take a look at the overall condition of the truck, catwalk clean, airlines suspended and tires then wave you on.

I'm at home, and its a good thing that i chose this for hometime, because when my clutch went out, it happened near home...
Anyhow, CB reports that new buffalo, mi coops are open. I think I might take a ride down US12 today and see if the dot is hanging around the coop bypass. It's pretty much the easiest coop in the world to bypass..take i94 to route 20 (indiana) to route 12 to i94...

Just can't stay away from them coops, even on "hometime". A true truck driving fool.

Yesterday I drove from tacoma to boise, only scales open were umatilla, or and granger, wa. Every other one was closed and the two that were open didnt seem to be inspecting much of anything.

my tractor is older, so i'm very picky about it mechanically and appearance wise. that said, somebody previous to me ran a hot wire behind the fusebox for some reason, and last week it fried, and of course, fried everything it touched. i opted for a new harness, which is a blast to wire in and hook up. in this mess, my compnay keeps calling me and beggin me to hurry back. it seems over 1/2 our fleet has shut down and refuse to run. with the truck in good operatiung condition, i probably would have kept running, but more at night as i usually try to do, not so much because of cops, but more to do with traffic.
still, one of these roadcheck blitz moneymaker events ought to coincide with as many drivers as possible taking vacation time. when the groceries don't hit the shelves, and the mighty god wal-mart can't get their plastic crap from china, maybe some common sense might creep back into a few peoples heads. -
When the DOT's income goals for this week aren't met they'll pull a fast one on every one next week. -

was that the last scale in KS, or the first one in NE? on 81
