Seems like I saw less bears this week than normal :biggrin_25526: I guess we'll just have to wait and hear what the official results are :biggrin_25525: should be interesting.

Haven't seen too much extra enforcement. Went through I 40 scale at San Jon NM. Figured they would be packed. Nothing out of the ordinary. TX is still doing their mobile enforcement. Roll out the Suburban army and set up where ever they feel like.

I saw way less activity then previous 72hrs. KY 64E was closed, Seymour IN was closed one way each day and only had one truck out back in the other direction. IL was working hard in all the coops and tollboths though. Must be those cutbacks.

During the 72 hours, I drove from Nashville to Chicago then to a place up to Spencer, Iowa and down to Ness City, Kansas. From there I just went home to Colorado. I think I only saw 3 cops the whole trip, it seemed like things were pretty light this time.

I sure like my PrePass but most of the scales I went through were closed anyway. I was almost hoping I would get pulled in so I could show off my new tires and brakes along with all the other stuff I have replaced recently. The key word there is "almost". You never know what the guy read in the book the last time he was sitting on the can and decided to check every truck for that. It seems like every inspector has a special thing he likes to look for.

What i noticed in my travels were the states that are all ways open and inspecting seemed to be working less and the ones that are rarely open were full and working hard.

:biggrin_2559: That's what I was thinking I've got lots of brand new parts on my truck too. Even paid a mexican $55 to hand wash my truck. It ain't never looked better and I don't know what he put on it but I drove through two rainstorms afterwards and it still looks clean, my truck is black too... I saw WV working hard in the rest area/travel plaza going north on 77 tuesday but they waved my shiny truck on through. NC was working hard too but apparently only an 8 hour shift. Other than that I have to agree with others it wasn't near as busy as I have seen it in years past
