Dead wrong. I will go past 8 coops next week from Wis to Miami on the way down and and depending on where the backhaul goes, probably 10 coops going back home. My equipment and paperwork will pass and I've zero worries.

Hopefully for you, your megafleet company junk wont get placed OOS. You probably dont even know what trailer you"ll be assigned and be pulling by next week, do ya? LMAO. I'll be draging the one in my sig. Have a dramatic day tho.

I don't see what the hassle is. You get inspected, (a good thing if you pass, a good thing if you fail). You now have a free pass for 30 days to NOT get inspected again. (Assuming you passed). If you failed it, that's a good thing. We don't want you on the highway endangering our lives. And you can repair your equipment. Or do you think it's OK to drive junk that needs repairs? That's the drift I'm getting from the drivers that want to stay home for 72 hours. Just my opinion.......

Are you serious? It is a flippin' fund raiser! Do you really think they are doing it for safety? When the heck else have they ever done anything in the name of safety without doing a money grab at the same time.

WM, you have nice equipment, but you gotta know you don't get inspected at each and every coop, IF you got inspected and passed at a previous coop, right? As far as picking up a mega fleet trailer, I would "pre-trip" it first prior to getting on the road, right? That's if I wasn't re-tired and sitting in my ez chair in front of the big screen sipping a tall cold one. Ah, life is good ! ! !

junk equipment? thats a bold statement considering you know nothing about me. just because some people choose to take the path of least resistance doesnt they own junk equipment. some people dont feel like playing games and making contibutions to random states. lets be real about this.......there are alot of good DOT, but there are more that are looking to bust a trucker for some bs. just because one guy dont get you on something dont mean the next guy is not going to interpret a law a different way and smack a fine on your assets. i am not afraid of getting inspected, but i sure dont go around asking for one. it just so happens that i stay out 9/10 days and i am home 4/5 days. i will probably be home next tuesday night. if it works this way i will miss most of the blitz by circumstance not choice. even if it didnt work this way i would still go trucking. btw, i got inspected in pennsylvania a few weeks ago and drove away with a sheet of paper that said "no violations".

I have heard more than my share of DOT who bragged they can place a brand new off the lot rig OOS.......With that kind of attitude by some DOT....No wonder most drivers would rather spend the time drinking a beer....

OR DOT tried to tell me my med card wasn't legal because the doc scratched out a date and put the right date next to it.....
    Friggn' picky.....:biggrin_25513:
