Ah yes, a mini vacation. Have to be home both Monday and Thursday next week, so it seems that'll be a perfect couple of days to fix a busted gate in my wagon and maybe do some much needed catching up on some zzzzz's. Coincidence? I think not. LMAO

yeah.......its kinda like this "click or ticket" scam. like any one of the people who pass these seat belt laws gives a crap if me or anyone else for that matter gets killed in a crash because we didnt have our seat belt on. its all about the green stamps...........

UT fined me once because they didn't like the way my WY card was filled out.
I'd had it for almost 2 yrs by then and been thru how many other inspections just fine.

AM, I think we both agree there's little to be gained from this blitz. I'm speaking for myself and most everyone else posting here who pose no danger to the motoring public. I envy ya getting to sit home and drink beer LOL. I should take pictures of all the upsidedown minivans I see next week on dry roads. Odds are good I'll see a few.

Last year got a roadside insp in AL. no violations. drove 80 miles, still in AL. got another pull over by another d.o.t. told him I just had inspection 80 miles back. he replied, well we do it different here, the last officer may have missed something. 2nd d.o.t. said reflective tape on trailer faded in 2 spots. sunny august day 1:00pm. good thing my windshield did not have many bugs on it, or he may have hit me with impaired vision.

I guess my "junk" is gonna be sitting at the house next week too. But its only gonna be there so I can peel the "mega fleet" signs off my "junk" since they won't fix their well maintained trailers that couldn't pass a pre trip inspect (and they refuse to fix them once a problem is found). Even if I was able to run next week, I would probably schedule time at the house anyways just so I wouldn't have to deal with the fund raiser.

Got inspected last week with no violations but I will be boycotting D.O.T.'s annual summer games cause I just don't feel like hauling freight to any state/city/town for that particular 72 hours. So me and my "junk" will be by the pool. I can play games to ;)
