I've often wondered... What do all these DOT inspectors do the rest of the year? Where do they come from or go back to when they're not doing this "Safety BLITZ". ... Back to their office to figure out how to spend all the money they just raised?

Depends, if they have been using Bromine instead of Chlorine, they will be in big trouble buy pouring bleach in there.

I don't recommend that anyone just pour bleach in a swimming pool or a hot tub. :biggrin_25513::biggrin_25524:

Bromine with Chlorine with start fire.

Why do they annonce that there will be a blitz. Would not it be better just to do it without anyone knowing. This would pull more junk off the road.

They've been anouncing these blitzes in advance for years and years. Always the first week in june, except this year. Last years blitz was 53 weeks ago (from the begining of this years) And they're always tue/wed/thurs....for 72 hours.

Btw, even with many truckers purposely sitting out the blitz week at home, there will always be far more trucks than creeper cops. No shortage of customers LOL

Same as when a traffic cop running radar sits out in the open. There will always be that one goober that gets nabbed.
