Probably because if they announce it, they hope that the companies will TRY to have everything in order at least once a year. But yet, they still find where they do not.

For the most part I agree
But the publicized purpose of the 72 hr Blitz is to write tickets which = $
We have all dealt with Jerks but for most part they are just doing a job and not bad folks
I bet I spend more time behind the coops than most folks due to what I tote
For me it's just the path of least resistance to catch up around the house and do some stuff to the truck next week:biggrin_25525:

AR was having a training day about 3 weeks ago so I got a full blown cavity search for truck and trailer.. Guy used to be a driver,,, nice enough,, told me I should get the ol'girl washed. Then the jerk went and stuck this in my window..... LOL Wonder if this will make a difference with the blitz???

I got one of them on a Tuesday morning. Got another on Friday afternoon in the same week.

    You can only hope.

Bandit outfit I was running at the time for didn't have prepass, so I rolled every scale. Even with prepass, that scale just west of Akron on I-76 pulls me in every time I run that way. Don't matter what truck I'm driving, either. I ran through there twice in one week, each time in a different truck and with a different company, and they still pulled me in both times! It's like they know exactly what I'm doing, and who I work for. I think they are gunning for me specifically!:biggrin_2559: I'm being stalked by the Ohio Highway Patrol!:biggrin_2559:

Dispatch generally knows when the blitz is on. I don't know how the hometime issues work out, since I no longer care about the blitz, and I wasn't too worried about it when I ran with Werner. Besides, I prefer my hometime to be on the weekends. That way I can watch my cartoons.

O.K. that's a new one on me. if the d.o.t officer say's your brakes are out of adjustment, how do you counter that ? tell him to watch you put a flashlight between WHAT? & do what? :biggrin_25513:I guess I am just not smart enough yet, to comprehend your reponse to the d.o.t. if the above circumstance were to happen. you do crack me up with your reply though. :biggrin_2559:

Check your brakes the way they check them and you don't have to worry about them finding one out of adjustment, because you'll catch it first. The idea here is to wedge something so that the brake pedal is pushed down so you can measure the travel on the tractor brakes.
