Pretty new to trucks and have a 379 Pete that doesnt have any manuals with it. What are the must haves? Do the operators manual help any or is a service manual better? Looking mainly for day to day service, oil levels, coolant, greasing. Not going to be tearing apart a trans. or engine.

I was able to find an operator's manual for my 387 by visiting Google. I think a service manual would suit you (and me) better than the operator's manual. I can imagine though that they're pretty pricey.
