We are considering going through crowder and have heard both good and bad things about the program. We are keeping an open mind and just looking for other's opinion of the program that has been through it. Also, I am worried about learning the backing techniques, it seems to be one of the most challegning things to learn and am wondering, if there has been anyone that had a hard time mastering the maneuvers but yet still did and passed. The fact that skid pads are down, I can't say much becuase of the disaster that struck through Joplin, I'm just happy this town is Joplin, strong and thankful for all those assiting with rebuilding. Concern, still does exist with how not learning how to be in a skid will hurt me in the future if I am ever in a skid? Anything you can do ahead of time that will help you prepare for driving portion of school? Any feedback would be greatly appricated.

I just graduated from there last friday. What can i tell you? It was a great choice. Not everybody finished it. From the class before mine two guys dropped out because they werent doing well on their road trips. And another guy had to test four times for his cdl. When i went there and got in that red KW they have it was the first time being in a truck in my life. Plus i had only been driving a car for six months. If i can learn it and pass at carthage in one attempt anyone can, as long as you have a not giving up attitude and communicate with your instructors. Ask me anything, i dont know what to tell you lol

Crowder is a wonderful place to go. I was there last year and all the instructors work with you.....they really want to see you graduate (and not just get your CDL) and will do all they can to help you. I sometimes pop in when I am at home just to say "HI" and catch up with everyone.

Sounds like a good one, wish it wasn't so far from me. It's about a 4hr drive.
