I have 4 KDA tires on rear drive axle, no problems yet since 737k miles. The run better than my older firestone tires. KDA has less rolling resistance than my old firestone.

Kelly KDA's have a RR of 145 that is horrible.
Even if you get half the miles out of a Michelin XDA Energy D that has RR of 100, your fuel mileage gain of around 1/2 mpg over 500,000 miles (6 mpg to 6.5 mpg @$4/gal) would save $25,641 in fuel that would buy a few sets of Michelins while you wear out one bad RR set of Kelly KDAs.
I don`t care how long the tire last if the fuel mileage gain is a lot greater savings than the tire life.

because it was sold as "new" to you doesn't mean it wasn't sitting in some warehouse for 5 years. -
I have special ordered the Michelin XZA steer tire with an H load rating and I am sure if you check with the dealer, they can get them for you in the XDA Energy D.Last edited: Mar 3, 2014

A while back Kelly Springfield actually discontinued the KDA for a period of time. There were many cases with the sidewalls splitting out and the compound was junk. Kelly claimed they took care of the issue, but my tire guy is still getting complaints about them. -
