That's what I thought too and read an article on cbradiomagizine.com that said texas stars draw more amps but unless this guy was messing around somehow the fatboy drew close to 35 amps the texas star was under 30.Both were 1 2290 driving 2 2879 pills now texas star had toshiba's and the fatboy had a different brand I never heard off something kg of kls I can't remember but like I said I wasn't watching him hook up so who knows.

On a meter though, that 1x2 Texas star would be there DX350, good for about 350 watts. That fatboy 1x2 will hit 450-500 all day, so I'd take the fatboy

BoredSilly, that ClassC 8 should pull about 100 amps just cruising, and if you volted it she might hit up to 25 amps per pill. I wouldn't trust that dx1600 past about 1200 watts, but your 8 pill can hit 1800+ easy when driven well.

Not to argue with you Poppapump, but a well tuned class C box like my fatboy, switchblade, xforce which are all handmade will put out a clean signal if the input tune and output tune is correct. You take my general Lee and put my 2x4 switchblade behind it, and you will be amazed how clear and loud it is. It easy to get low reflect out of it, and the soldering and craftsmanship is top notch. The inside of a mass produced Texas Star pales in comparison in quality to a well built class C.
I own or have owned a Texas Star mod v, a Texas Star 667, a Pride 150, a silver eagle 350, a Texas Star DX600 (667 predecessor with MRF454's), a fatboy 2 pill, switchblade 1x2, switchblade 2x8, switchblade 12 pill ,switch 2x4 and straight 4 pill. I've got Galaxy's, Connex, Ranger, even a Texas Star 271 channel from the 80s(still have it) a General Lee and some Cobras. My best audio setup is my General Lee and my switchblade 2x4, people cannot believe how good that setup sounds. Second best is probably my Ranger 6300 with the Top Gun Mod and a silver eagle 350.
Just look online at some of the class C boxes internals compared to a mass produced and you will see. Ok, I can talk about CB all day so I will shut up. Have a good one.poppapump1332 Thanks this. -
