Manual...? Recruiter today said all the trucks they have now are automatic... Actually, I would like a 10 speed... Will try to check inside some truck when I visit the terminal...
Oh, trust me man, I know! I've had two freightliner in a row that would not idle at all. Ask me how fun that was in AZ in the middle of the summer. I turned that #### truck in 4 times and it never got fixed. When I finally switched companies my dispatcher told me I never communicated the problem... LOL
And they also told me that having no AC in the AZ desert is "not a safety issue." This was right after I completed a training video that told me not sleeping enough IS a safety issue.
Yeah... thanks... Not really motivated and having a lot of difficulty trying to go back... wish I knew something different... trucking is not what it used to be when I started and it keeps changing very quickly... but will go back for now... just need to find a good match and every time that it seems I found one, there's something that I definitely don't want.... My former company used to contact me every 3 months and asked what I needed to make it work... but I have changed, they have changed and now we are not a good match any more..
Right, my starter company. My experience with Crete is the trucks are better. Though Crete is anal about idling, fuel routes, and toll roads. My last company didn't care at all about those. They just couldn't figure out how AC works.
