Here are my options right now. Not all are guaranteed but just want some opinions

Drive a straight reefer (6 speed- will have to learn)
Drive a straight truck delivering appliances (auto)
Drive a roll off (10 speed - will have to learn)
    Drive a roll off (auto)

What do I go with? Manual I have to learn on my own...no pay

Where did you come up with a six speed? You'll likely have to learn the 10 speed.

Yeah like I said....some are prospects...some are more guaranteed (but nothing is guaranteed)

Opinions anyone for new driver what would be best. Not necessarily for short run but long run.

I like the idea of making money right away. But think something like roll off would be better in long run even if I won't get paid for now to learn what I really need to learn

Obviously appliances arnt easy....but not knowing manual is not good later

What would u take with next to no expierence

My opinion is drive the rolloff 10 speed it probably pays more and jobs are more plentiful if later on you decide to quit.

Was thinking the same. Called lady today told me she was hiring....then called me back and said they already found someone

    Was kinda upset

But she said bring your resume I want to have it on file

So I figure why not go there tomorrow with my resume and tell I learn in the meantime till someone leaves? Obviously if there's a possibility of that happening

    Still open to other. Opinions

One of the manual ones. Roll off. You need to learn manual in my opinion so you don't end up being pigeonholed

All of those jobs will require you to assist in loading or unloading the product. Will that be an issue considering how the previous construction job went?

    No

I've worked construction 4 years and I'm done with that category of work.

Place was not honest about what they hired me for and had unsafe trucks. Not trying to hurt someone, lose my driving privleges or work construction when I've been hired to drive

When you let another driver take a unsafe truck after it has been reported .. And he crashes it next day after I have almost did the same. Would you want to work there? Could have been me. And I'd have no license after driving for 2 days

That's a ####ty way to start your first week of work

Anyways let's no talk about that anymore. I learned my own lesson. Don't need them teaching me one. If I were smart I would of left it on highway tell them I'm not touching it
