I wasn't correcting the math. Wheelbase is different than axle spacing & calculating bridge. The factory build sheet from PACCAR shows 244" wb- distance from front axle to center between the drives (I'm pretty sure this is how Canada does it, otherwise a 244" truck would be really short).

I looked that up to clarify as well and yes, the 244" wb is measure to the center front to the center of the drives. For some reason, I thought it was to the rear axle. Now, I understand your first wb comment. I should stop specing trucks and go back to my networking desk job... LOL !!

@snowwy, I did list the bridges for the 7 inner axles:

Don't look at it that way, you picked up some useful info you didn't know when you got up this morning- so it was a good day!

Yes, yes I did. It's been a good day overall.

Been trying to figure out those wheelbase dimensions for a while now!

When it comes to getting your 7 axle bridge don't be afraid to get creative when you're specing your truck.

@glitterglue. I know Im bringing up kind of an old thread but just wondering how this turned out and if you got the truck and trailer if you have any pictures. Im currently going thru the same thing trying to figure out a truck spec for running northwest heavy. Im currently a company driver running tanker/dry bulk but going to owner op for them so trying to get my truck specs figured out. I would just copy my company truck specs but they are set up at 244"wb as they need to go to Canada but I hardly go so Im streching out to have a little bit bigger sleeper.

My truck has a 254" wheel base and with the quad axle I can only scale 103,500 because of the inner bridge. Here is the kicker though, I can still scale 65k of payload because of the empty weight and that puts me right at 103,500 gross.

So even though you can not gross 105,500 you may still be able to scale the 65k of payload.
