Once again they are having ice tea in hell, as Oregon has raised the speed limit for trucks to 60, and 65 for cars.
There is hope yet for mankind.

They raised the statewide from 55 to 65 a few years ago, but from The Dalles to Portland [and other stretch south of Portland] they left it at 55 - UNTIL RECENTLY when they raised those stretches to 60
Dave_in_AZ, Toomanybikes and roadranger550 Thank this. -
Yea it's 65 now I-84 after the Dalles to MyXisAHO. And they have variable spped for some of it with electronic signs. Was a miserably B from Portland to MM 250, storm, but I freaking zoomed across there while the getting was good lol.

Someone needs to visit Oregon more often.

Oregon raised the speed last year. Right before i quit otr for local. -
Arkansas is supposed to go to 75 as soon they put up the necessary interstate signs.
They are also going to 65 on some rural roads from 55. So things should get rather interesting.
We already roll at 90+ Not necessarily our vehicle but everyone else.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
I visit Oregon a lot. I've never seen above 55 until the other day on 5.

Memphis to Texarkana has got to be the most dangerous stretch of highway ANYWHERE in the country-
