Question for ya'll.
When you apply for a position with a company they give you a date for orientation. So my question is the guy pulled my MVR says all looks good, they have all of my info, when do they check it?
I do not want to get to the terminal and be sent home because someone in HR didn't do thier job. How often does this happen and is there any way to avoid it?
As a side note my Hubby has his CDL and experience I am new, so we would be going as a team does this help the process at all?
Orientation and when is the vetting done.

Gettin sent home happens all to often now.
I always ask the recruiter when they tell me I'm ready "now yall have checked all my info right? and checked all my previous employers."
I also say " I dont want to get there and be sent home for some chicken shiat excuse"
If they tell me they check that after I'm there I move along.
But if your a newbie and going in for training I assume then you shouldnt have any issues assuming its a training company, which it has to be i reckon. -
Most "good" companies will check your MVR and DAC before you go to orientation.
But there is always additional BG information that needs to be resolved.
It's not uncommon for someone to be sent home over a simple error that was overlooked by the driver, or the recruiter.
It's a #### shoot, if you fail to ask questions, before attending orientation. -
gotta love the filter on here

Pff, I've heard of people getting through orientation and into a truck and delivering loads only to get pulled back to terminal and fired for application/mvr/dac isssues.

My first bad driving experience was with Werner.. When at orientation, they told us to list every ticked or accident we had since getting our license at the age of 16 or whatever.. I said to my self heck I had a lot when I was younger. So I listed only the last one I had and it was back in 88.. Now This was in 2005 when I started with them.. Well I made it through orientation ok, but for the next two weeks, I would get a call every day from someone in HR about my accident. I got so tired of it I told the last person (female) How many drivers do you have that can say they did not have a wreck in the last 3months? I said that because at least 3 times a day a message would come over the computer, telling us about how one of our drivers just had a accident.. My trainer who was cool and a O/O said they are asking me way to much, as they are going to fire you.. So I told him no problem just drop me off at the next terminal, I will find my way home.. Luckily it was in Dallas so my wife and sister inlaw came and got me
