Start orientation on Tuesday up in Dallas TX. Any have a picture of the boots they would issue you if you don't have any? I have a pair just curious if the boots are worth the buy so I can keep these home. Anyone have pics or have purchased them before? Pros/Cons?
Orientation issued boots.

Used to be Georgia Boots liked them.

If you've got a pair that fit the bill and you like them. Bring those.
At the end of my day, the SNI boots caused more issue than they solved. Feet don't breathe well was my biggest issue. You don't want funky feet...
Mine stay at home for emergency purposes only. Others may have fared better but I wasn't happy with them.
@TennMann, they've changed it then. I'm trying to remember the name of the company, I think it was Rocky?
If I recall the specifics I'll post them.

If you've got a pair that you like that fits SNI's standards (anti-slip and something else I believe) I'd wear those. Trying to drive in a new pair of boots sucks. Trying to drive for an instructor in an unfamiliar truck with a brand new stiff-*** pair of boots sucks even more LOL.
Vilhiem Thanks this. -
Oil and slip resistant soles and leather uppers are the requirments.
As others have said - if you have a pair that meets the requirements BRING THEM. If you do get the "Schneider" boots there are several different styles available, try them on, find a pair that FIT and are COMFORTABLE. I get rather tired of trainees complaining about how the boots "don't really fit"; "I didn't think I'd have to wear them"; "the boots are the reason I can't shift/back/do basic math". -
There's like 10 different styles you can pick from. Even if you don't really like any of them they only charge you $25 out of your first paycheck for $100+ pair of boots. Mine as well just take them for that price
