I actually saw an EPES truck on the road while driving in school and checked their website. It was either "we don't hire south of orlando" or "1 year experience required".

Thanks man! I will continue posting here. So back in 2009 it was 325 hours... the guys here are saying 275, I was told 225 by the recruiter. I wonder what will it actually be. It might be different depending on which particular school a driver has graduated from? Who knows. I will find out once I get there

So far so good. Riding in the bus, plenty of space, clean vehicle, new leather seats, power outlets (I didn't bring a computer, using the phone). Ac blows nice in the 90 degree South Florida weather and I am watching Burn Notice on netflix ;-)

Really? I didn't know it is that advanced! I will check it out when we move again, we stopped at West Palm Beach. It is pretty cool though, right?

Just like any Mega carrier, you get a junk truck to start. Then you get a nice one. If your real good, you get asked to join management. Save $ and buy your own truck. Lease or leave. I have two First Class drivers, & me. Three Freightliner's. They throw them away at XXX miles. Made the bucks, get a new one.

    tonakis Thanks this.

The coffee has worn off. I'm waiting for Bozo to fill my wagon. Sleeper time.

Thanks for the input Saddletramp! What do you mean by "management"?

That's the general idea for me - to buy a truck in a year or two. I am aware of the lease scams a lot of carriers are trying to pull and I am staying away from those.

Is this app based on your phone? If so, it would be a neat feature my Wife could use to see where I am when I go OTR. Is there a fee/Charge/Roam? I'm on Verizon.
    Thanks
