Orientation with Werner. What I have done so far...

    I was on the road with the trainer for a few days, he is getting his home time here in Atlanta and I will be at the hotel for 3 days because of memorial day. Also I got my first paycheck - 407 bucks for 8 days after taxes.

    So far it has been good, we get along with the trainer. He is on a dedicated account that hauls kitchen countertops out of Rome, GA. First couple of days we went to Florida with 17 stops at home eepot and lowes stores. Yesterday we ran Georgia around Atlanta. There is no loading or unloading. They just come out with a forklift and unload feom the side of the trailer, so there is no backing involved.

    Monday night we are leaving for North Carolina. So far so good! :)

    Yep, I backed to the dock at the shipper yesterday. I will ask him to back as much as possible.

    And here is her, 2012, 80k miles. Stills smells new :)

    Don't spend all that money in one place.Not a bad check.Glad you're doing well with your trainer.Hopefully he's the only trainer you have and will continue to move forward

    Well, we'll see if he will be the only one cause I have to go abroad for two months in July and August and I am not sure if I will be done with training. I don't even know if they will continue my employment, I will let them know at the end of next week. It should be okay I think.

    You should be done with taining before that.Come Monday if its ok with your trainer,start driving as much as possible so you can get your hrs done and get qualified before you go abroad.

    They are saying it takes 6-8 weeks but it really depends on the trainer. So far I am driving 400-600 miles a day. The second day I ran both my 11 and 14 clocks pretty much. I can't complain :) getting used to the Qualcomm and different macros as well. If I am not done with training by july I will see if I can work with him to vouch for me to finish training with him after I get back. Meanwhile when I am gone he can train another student.

    By the way this account he does some serious miles - 2800-3000 and he is off on the weekend! He said they also need about 3 drivers right now on top of the 15 they already have. It might be good for me. I will keep it as an option ;-)

    Well, recruiter first said 225. Everyone from orientation on says 275. Just today I heard a rumor that they will lower it to god knows what :)
