ok Osborne out of Cinci, I applied there, went by did a driving test passed it, but I couldn't bring myself to drive for .31 cpm with over 20 years experience, seems like a decent outfit pay is on the low side for me, I ended up buying a truck anyway and becoming an o/o.

Yes the one out of Fon du Lac, Wi.
So the pay is only $.31 a mile? not the greatest, especially at 20 years. Don't blame you for that. I would do the same that you did. I would love to get a truck and go out as a O/O, but the industry is going down the drain-or so it sounds from the new rules and such.

Just got a call from them. .38 now. medical only, no dental or vision. After 90 days they give you bonuses for not screwing up. Their moving to automatics and have mostly volvos and KWs. The person didn't know what models. They also have an '95 pete 379.They were kinda embarrassed to mention it. I was like that'll be the one I take. They have e-logs and APU's. after a year, if you haven't screwed up then you might get a raise. Said the miles were around 2500-3500/week. said no one got below $60K/yr.

what is a good starting wage in this day and age AND economy? Not a newbie so won't even consider the mega-slave carriers.
