So I was backing in at a dock. I used goal a lot. One time I goaled I was very close to his truck but I did not hit it. He is saying I did. I reported it to my company and made sure they knew I did not hit him. My biggest question is how will this affect me. I have made it almost 4 months with out anything and really don't want to stay with the company I am with. More so get your year and fly kinda thing. Any input would be great thanks.
Other driver claimed I hit him how screwed am I?

no damage, you didnt hit him

Never had this problem before so I'm going to assume you really did hit him. Did you get out, ask where he claimed you hit him? take pictures of what he was claiming? Take pictures of the area of your truck that he claimed hit his? I mean honestly it sounds like the most that can actually happen is a "He said point the finger battle." Unless there is indisputable amount of evidence that you did. Is there video cameras where you were watching the docks? usually there's always cameras.

If I hit him I would man up and say I hit him. He did have a scratch on the side of his truck but it didn't look new. I took pictures of what he said I did. I have an old pos trailer but their is no new scratches dents bends or bulges that I can see.

Then there is always the one that has prior damage and is looking for your insurance to fix the damage he caused 3 months ago. PICTURES, PICTURES, VERY CLOSEUP PICTURES. If there is no obvious damage or paint scrape on your vehicle to match damage on his vehicle, i'd be inclined to call the police to have official verification of a possible case of insurance fraud.
Now if there is paint to match his vehicle on your bumper, man up and admit your mistake.Cman301 and tangerineGT Thank this. -
If you were using G.O.A.L. alot like you said, then how did you end up so close to his truck? The whole purpose of G.O.A.L. is to prevent these types of situations.
bigtssa Thanks this. -
This is after the fact I know, but in a situation like this always call the police. 1. The other driver will probably change his mind at the thought of the cops showing up and 2. You have a police report to back you up.
These guys will look for newbies with training companies hoping you say "er, sorry, sorry, yeah, I'm new at this etc etc" Instead of "Screw you, I'll get the cops here and we'll see what they say about you making stuff up, isn't that insurance fraud?, we'll see what they think shall we"Steeleandsonfarms, HotH2o, Pmracing and 1 other person Thank this. -
in a situation like that, I would take my cell phone, most of which now days have a video camera on it, and walk up and down the side of his truck filming every inch of the truck and trailer, to have a record that there are no new scratches and or major damage.

Only a scratch I think you'll be fine getting employment elsewhere. Not saying you're at fault,I wasn't there, but when you're backing try not to get so close to a trk, there's very little room for error.Pull up and try it again.

Kind of late to do anything about it now. In the future always call the police in those situations.
