if people would follow you on reading the aka truckers bible, aka green book, and not get 2 or 5 plates at the TA buffets. then we could be more proactive.

there isnt a problem with buying it and drinking it off duty or in the sleeper. the problem is carrying. people thank the dot cant search there trucks cause they paid for it. good rule of thumb is be responsible and wise.

No any officer can not get in your truck without you signing their permission form, if you have one that is a friend and will not lie to you ask him.
Any sleeper can be measured from the outside, just as easy as the inside, and most are obviously larger than the legal deminsions. Lame arguement at the best.

I have personally tested this, and when told they would get a warrant, I threatened to sue them personally and any judge that would give them one without some cause other than to meet their quota for their dog.

I have also been at a truckstop when a driver has called the law on another that was drunk, drinking in his truck. The law came and explained to the complaining driver (tattle tale) that it was perfectly legal as long as he stayed in his truck, if he got out, drunk in public was an option.

Some of you may know I own a liquor store and we sell to local drivers on their way home all the time. We sell tobacco at cost and they normally pick up a tall boy because they know we sell at cost
