If the guy is on a 34 hr reset, so what it they have a beer.
If you see them have a beer, then fire up the truck and drive off. Now you can get involved.

Even if they a couple before their 10 hour nap, who cares it'll be out of their system in the morning.

Having beer in your truck is not allowed if I remember correct, buying beer is not against the law, drinking and driving is a different story, wilco before pilot buy them would not sell beer. There thing was we don't want truckers to think it was ok to drink and drive,

Actually having one in your truck while you are off duty is not forbidden.
"Question 3: Does the prohibition against carrying alcoholic beverages in §392.5 apply to a driver who uses a company vehicle, for personal reasons, while off-duty?

Guidance: No. For example, an owner-operator using his/her own vehicle in an off-duty status, or a driver using a company truck or tractor for transportation to a motel, restaurant, or home, would normally be outside the scope of this section."

You better watch out, you better not buy
Better not drink that stout, I'm telling you why
IluvCATS is taking photos near by...

    /Chorus

    I would've said..."I drank the fifth and I'm on my 10.." ( I jest )

Save your finger the exercise. There's several retired Marshal's and S.E.A.L.'s at the counter. ;)
