Are you an OTR truck driver who could use some assistance and company on a trip? I recently got a CDL Class A Instruction Permit. I could help you load and unload the truck if needed, and I could even drive the truck while you sleep or rest if you'd like. It could make the trip faster and easier for you. All I'd want in exchange is to be able to ask you questions about OTR driving and perhaps a little instruction so I can take the skills test. Thanks!

You wouldn't be able to drive while other guy is asleep. You have a learners permit, which means a licensed class A driver must be in passenger seat at all times when you are driving.

I'm also not sure if the permit is acceptable outside of your "home" state. Don't quote me on that, just something i've heard that needs to be considered.

When I got my intruction permit it was only valid in my home state. We'd go into missouri and illinois with grain and always had to be on a closer lookout for bears! I guess I was also only 18 at the time so that possibly could've been the reason to I guess

a learners permit is good to go cross state lines as long as a licensed CDL driver is in the jump seat.

I knew Rerun would know that one! Wasn't sure if you could cross state lines with that. I think it's only if you are under 21.

I do know one thing that's fo sho. If you do not go to an accredited school it will haunt you for the rest of your life! Just ask Rerun. He was just trying to help a guy out who opted to not take his advice and now he is screwed. You know, poopoo creek, no paddle etc...

Imtomj I think I know your motive and if I am right I would reconsider.

You wouldn't be able to help load or unload either, unless you are with a true Owner/Op..

That leavers the company part and I am not sure what good that will do.
