Looking for the names of carriers that will allow their O/O's to work part of the year. Also no age restrictions on equipment. I'm looking for percentage pay. If you know it can you mention the maximum amount of consecutive time off the carrier will allow you to take at one time. Thanks.

The reason why they want you to work more is to pay for the high insurance cost associated with having a driver run under their authority. I was quoted at least $1000 per month per driver but I am sure I could find a better rate if I wanted to hire drivers. As a broker I wouldn't care how much a driver runs if he has his own authority.

There are a lot, Landstar is one, you can work as much as you want or as little as you want as long as you pay the bills.
