I've had the first part happen when I misjudge a grade while loaded, but I hate it when I get others that do that. The sad part, these drivers who do it consistently don't realize that some states use that as an example of why they need tougher truck lane restrictions. Colo. has been contemplating lane restrictions on I-70 for a couple of years now, this is why.
True, very true, but I have seen drivers given written warnings for it.
OTR Drivers, why do you hate to use turn signals?

Fast truck? I always loved telling drivers when they had too many speeding tickets for us to hire them. They go right into defending themselves telling me how unfair life is.
I bet that wasn't their attitude when they were passing everything but the fuel stop. -
Because I hate, with a passion, people who don't signal their intentions, I make it a point to ALWAYS use them.

I had a fast truck. I did not drive it that way. Yes, it was a company truck. Triple digit, long nose pete with an 18 speed. My whole point is I would not tell someone I had a fast truck if it would just barely peg the speed limit.
Just because other companies have slow trucks doesn't make that one fast....

You really are asking way too much of drivers these days!
I mean holding the cell in one hand, coffee in the other with the cruse set and that fat leg ON THE DASH being so stupidly cool why would you expect them to use the blinkers as it's the left leg on the dash, the cell in the left hand elbow on the knee of the leg on the dash and the blinker control is on the left side.
Naah, way to much to ask of a driver these days to use that blinker!
Or to put brain in gear before the truck! -
When I started with this company, my first truck was ungoverend and topped out at 115 mph, one of my co-workers got nailed in it for105 in a 55 while I was on vacation, I came back to a truck turned down to 76 mph. My last truck was set at 82 until I got 4 speeding tickets in a row and the insurance mandated thye turn me down to 66 for 2 yrs. Now, I'll glady take my 77 mph truck, which your right barely goes over, but when you consider the majority of the company drivers on here can't do over 65 mph, I'm doing better then they are.

Years ago, we used to have an 86 Volvo cabover, with a 400Cummins that was turned up. Triple digit truck, no problem.
The guy that originally drove it used to laugh about going out west, and being passed on the flats by all the long nose Pete's, KW's, etc. But he had the last laugh in the mountains..... -
you actually answered your own question!
Come on now.... Think about it! You go fast. They go slow. They want to slow down the fast truck.... So why warn him? -
How about the OTHER SIDE , drivers who have the TURN signal on and no intention of turning.

as previously stated on here before from others "blinker fluid is expensive"
