    Holland really does seem like a quality company. My only hangup is that I heard carriers charge $70.00 to $170.00+ an hour for their detention tariffs.

    I can’t get past the lack of inclusion for the drivers, money wise, if they’re going to be held up at a warehouse, and kept from making money, they should be given hourly professional pay for the delay.

    I’m open to a paradigm shift if my mindset isn’t correct here, but I’m starting to consider it a red flag when the carrier won’t compensate enough for OTR Reefer Drivers when they’re held up: Reefer drivers have the longest delays out of any sector of transportation; imo, they should be rewarded for this extra headache that most drivers don’t experience.

    I’m based out of Florida.

    Dot Foods has inward-facing AI cameras. However, $1350/wk paid orientation, $30/hr detention, zero cost healthcare center at Vidalia DC, home a lot at JAX terminal. JAX terminal was a shuttle point between Vidalia and the JAX railyard, when I worked for them. It’s a great gig, if you can deal with the camera.
