1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Why does a driver need to be out for 2-3 weeks.?..Is this because you are greedy and want more money.?...What am i missing here.?..I work as an O/O and work 3 days and after deductions i am at around 2000.00 give or take...If i had a driver i would toss him/her about 850-1,000 for this run i do..Thats 333.00 a day for about 36 hours a week...1200 miles.

The only reasoning i can come up with is Pure Greed or Cheap Freight...Why would anyone do this to a driver is beyond me...No offence but i would never work for you or anyone that told me that.On those grounds if it was the last driving job in the country.

    Again this is IMO...

Taser. The biggest SCAM in trucking is ''we can't get you home''.

It is all B/S.Don't believe the hype.Bottom line is GREED or Cheap Freight...Mostly i see greed as being the offender..These guys all go home at 4:30 and make a killing at the Drivers Sacrifice and dedication..

Many year ago i told them all to Get ###### and refused to fall into this ''trap''...I am not the one.The sad part is we have so many ''needy'' drivers that will fall into this trap...

Yup, and they claim it's a driver shortage. I'm like you. Haul 3 -4 days a week and avg 2000+ after fuel. And home on weekends. Had to let'em know I ain't desparate and i ain't greedy.

    landstar8891 and Grouch Thank this.

Ain't no trucking job worth staying out for 2 to 3 weeks. I ran my own truck for 10 years and was home every week-end, no exceptions! Oh sometimes I had to come in empty, but that was better than hanging around all week-end at some truck stop hoping that I might get a load on Monday.
