I need to move a recently purchased trailer from a Canadien crane co through customs. I have a customs broker on it but neither of us have cross border authority. Open for ideas.

If I understand correctly, you are American and you need the trailer moved from Ottawa to Massena.
At first glance, I'm thinking all you need to do is have your local IRP office change your cab card to add Ontario and a valid passport to get back in the good ol' USA.
Of course there are other details like setting your speed limiter to 105 km/hr but I wouldn't worry about that for one trip (just avoid the scales). Might also contact your ins company so they don't get any surprises if you have a wreck. You don't need any special Ontario authority or a CVOR number or anything like that. Sounds like your customs broker will create an ACE manifest to get you through US Customs on the way back.

Yeah, changing my insurance to 5 million liability for this one move seems a bit much, Canada is tough it's same for hazmat in the US. I just need someone with both US and Can authority as they said ON takes 5 wks or more to get and 400 bucks. I think I found a carrier but thanks for input.
