I have to agree with IP and U2. Too many people sink their own ship. I would imagine the only way back to company is if there were some unfortunate life events, but your driving track record was good or better than average. Most people both company or lease don't make it because they are not doing the job correctly. Who wants to give someone that can't do the job right more chances?

Great points all around. I guess the bottom line is if your new to the business stay company. It gets redundant, that we have to keep saying this, if your not prepared to sacrifice everything don't take the plunge. It's like a person starting a business, say like a feed store. He pours all his savings, works long hours, and does everything necassarie to be a success. No different in trucking except your gone from home. If your smart about it you will have a business plan that details how you will run your business, and an exit strategy if things don't work out, and the reason your sacrificing all, and everyone you love most.

I wish everyone luck with lease. I was doing OK when I was running from April to September last year. I ran hard originally it was pedal to the metal and get their fast I was making 800-900 a week TAKE HOME. Once I slowed down from 67 to 60 my checks went up to 1000-1200 a week. Then I started avoiding tolls and it went up a bit more as well. It is a numbers game, imagine had I started slow could have made a bunch more. Oh-well live and learn. I walked away from my lease and they sent me a "bill" for $1600 bucks that I own when I come back. When I called and asked they said it would be written off if I did not pay it before taxes, well I could not paid it and no more bills. I owe sleep point for the sleep apnea card reading/monitoring amounts they worked with me. Prime is a great company once I woudl return to a lease anytime. I think a short lease to get some bank. I sure do miss my truck anyone seen it 600744, I picked it up in SpringMo and dropped it in Salt Lake due to my medical and Prime worked with me. Best this is slow down and stay away from tolls or limit them as much as you can. Good Luck

What type of updates are you looking for? I currently lease through Success Leasing.

Does seem to be a decent lease. How long have you been doing the lease. What are potential weekly take home checks.wifes considering getting her cdl. And teaming eventually. I've been driving 8 years now. So I understand the business essentially. Just looking ahead to future. As I heard rumor. There no age limit at prime so our young son could go with us..

There are many Prime drivers on these threads that lease. I have been leasing for two years. I wouldn't have it any other way. My net gross last year was just over $60,000. My average net gross is between $1300 and $1600 a week. When you lease at Prime you are set up to succeed. Use your business sense and follow their program without deviating and you will do well.

Tell me about how it all works from day one if you don't mind. I'd like know everything.
