Are they going to train you together, or in separate trucks? Schneider used to be the only company I knew of that trained teams together (if they wanted); don't know if they still do. The separate training is often a concern for couples and knowing where the options are would be good info.

No_worries, Lonesome and CalculatedRisk Thank this.

Separate training is beneficial, as both will have a different experience and perspective from their trainer and each can bring something slightly different to the table each day in the truck.

So after two weeks of being off we are back to knock the dust off. Today and tomorrow we are getting some last minute reps in before taking our test on Tuesday. I definitely see a difference in where I was and now. Had to fight with a 90 degree backing a little was able to get it done but two weeks not doing it makes a difference.
GF is driving right now simulating her road test.
Wish us luck this week.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Just remember -- whenever in any doubt -- it's so much cheaper & easier (in the long run) to stop the rig....put the tranny in N/P....set the brakes....get out....& do a walk-around (i.e., "get out and look").
Especially at night...&/or in poor visibility.
My own version of the above: "whenever in doubt -- get out -- chek it out -- then you won't have to pout"

Also -- whenever in tight maneuvers...where the tractor & trailer begin to get close to 90 degrees with each other -- be mindful of your tractor's "batwing".
That is -- don't turn so tight that you crumple/damage your batwing.
This potential "gotcha" is of course also a function of how close your 5th-wheel is to the cab.
Easy mistake for a rookie.
