I agree with you 100% but what does that have to do with what the companies have turned their trucks down to? Im trying to compile a list for those that are curious...

KLLM trucks down from 65 to 62 as well, almost 75% done. So now i went from no Bonus, about $5000/yr, to I can no longer drive (log) more than 640 or so miles a day which is aproxx $5000/yr I can not earn in miles plus slower to get empty which means from time to time I will not get my layover pay or detention if quallify. The way I see it, i just took a $10K a year pay cut and will have to work longer and slower.

    Pay cut? DRIVE SAFE

Not sure what kind of math you're using to get that, but my numbers say that's way off.
    11*65*0.3=214.50
    11*62*0.3=204.60
    That's $9.90/day, theoretically.

I think May came down from 65 to the current 62.

And - probably in the wrong place to post this, and it's very definitely hearsay: I heard (oh lord, here we go) that if the Democrats attain the Oval Office, they'll mandate a 55MPH nationwide limit. Again.

    so, if that is true - 62, 75, 105 won't matter a whit.

The republicans did it in 1973. There has been talk of it already and the democrats are not in the white house.

Yeah - I know - to both. The 'again' was not meant to imply the Dems did it the first time, just that the limit might be mandated again.

Either way, it hasn't happened yet.
