Ran with a broken truck for 2 weeks, then another truck with other issues for 2 weeks, and was DARED to contact DOT because I'd be fired on the spot... so what do you do then?
I left, of course, and I'm sure the trucks (both of them) haven't been fixed not their style, it seems.

Next time call DOT and ask for a level 1! Company will never know it was done at your request. And if they fire you over a inspection, then you have legal recourse. -
Then YOU also get the CSA points assessed for their POS truck...between a rock and a hard place, I think.
And I'm not scared of anything... too brave (or stupid) to be scared.. tried that out in South America... that said, I wasn't scared, I was pissed that they didn't give a crap about me, the truck, or the consequences. -
My company has the same policy after a violation is reported, the blame is always on the driver. Buried in a folder in a file cabinet are the company policies.
Qualcomm message: It is against company policy to falsify you logs or violate the 11/14 hour rule. If you are placed out of service you will be given Final Warning Via dispatcher. If you are put Out of Service during a DOT level II inspection, You can be Terminated for Operation of a CMV which failed an inspection.
Only a Driver can Stop the abuse. Your DM will look the other way and claim he did not authorize any of the violations. -
People need to learn how to stand up to companies that expect them to work this way.REDD Thanks this. -
I get so sick & tired of people that blame someone else claiming they made them do it! No one makes u do anything! If you drove over your 14 that was your own doing! If the equipment was not up to dot specs then don't drive it & if you did, well then that's your fault. Some people need to learn something called personal responsibility & accountability! It goes a long way!!

Ah...but he's a "lone wolf"....Hey, being from Wells, perhaps you could "transport" for the Sugar Shack ? Good benefits I would imagine..And don't forget, CRE and the Mormon Mafia are just a hop, skip and a jump away In Salt Lake..Thank God, I don't have to put up with this crap..

Things aren't always black and white, guys. You guys say that no one can force you to do anything. Perhaps so, but if you get them slammed by DOT because they're being ignorant and cheap, and they trash your DAC and you can't get another trucking job, how has it hurt the company?
YOU, on the other hand, are SCREWED. It's easy to spout off with advice when YOU don't have to deal with the repercussions of your advice.cobratori Thanks this. -
Well there's a simple solution, one document everything thing including pictures, then go apply with different companies & bring back there piece of junk equipment! I hate when people make excuses why they can't do this & can't do that! People stop passing the buck! I know some of these co's are crooked but come on! -
I'll be posting a full-blown story in this very same topic... and you guys can pick it apart all you want.. but unless you realize that some companies don't want to spend a DIME.. and they'll financially kill you if you make waves... sure, in my scenario, I left, some others may not have had the choices (financially) that I did.
