I know and understand why drivers use the notepad, I've been handed them on more than one occasion as a driver's "log book". What I don't understand why a driver can write it in his notebook, why can't he complete his log book.psanderson and rikdev50s Thank this.

Neatness is the only thing I can think of. I know that many times after the day of running the book looks really bad. I sometimes tear out the page and redo it neater. I think the neater look is a plus when looked at by DOT.
I have never used a notepad. I prefer to use the logbook. -
For the very same reason UPS and Fed-Ex drive around with the doors open...on their local trucks.
With the new rules, and crooked ### companies. Every second counts. And they never draw lines.
And here you was thinking, it was because they didn't have AC. -
I happen to know for a fact that the UPS trucks do not have AC. I shuttled some new ones when it was 95 degrees out. -
AND because it's quicker to jot down on a pad while driving out of the TS talking on the phone, steering with your knee and eating a burger ALL at the same time

Oh..I know this to be a fact also.
But it's an irrelavent one....in December. -
Not down where you live.
Almost die of heat stroke when I go down there in December.

Take of the snowmobile outfit, and the thermals LOL
We have snow forecast for tomorrow night

I was looking at Cybergal's posting of the next 48. It is wierd how the snow jumped south.
