I haven't driven for any of the big companies (Landstar, Schneider, Swift, etc) so just curious if you happen to be put of service at a weight station or roadside inspection what do the companies require of you afterwards?

If its something wrong with your truck or trailer, you must turn in the signed repair OOS form and tic. for any $ paid to fix truck, CO. can fire you, or if you work for white vol. club they may fine you?
jsnell Thanks this. -
The WV club is scary. Tiny DOT numbers and no markings anywhere including the trailer.

One of the biggest things they will require of you is that you contact them Immediately so they can make other arrangements on the load if they feel its necessary? Obviously, one of the other biggies is that you do whatever you need to do to help insure it doesnt happen again.

It depends on why you were put out of service, if it was a driver thing, then talk to safety. If it was a truck issue, then correct it and prove you did, if it is a load issue, fix it on site.
