Does anyone know what the penalty is if you don’t change your CDL to the state you’re driving in. (Not driving over the road?) in PA you’re supposed to change it within 60 days but my brother got a summons after a DOT check.
The FMCSA officer that did my companies audit said I had 10 days to get mine transferred to current state or they would revoke my CDL (I had lived in current state a couple months). Not sure if that was a meritless threat or a legit possibility but I hurried and had it changed as to not find out
I just told the dot that the address on my license was correct and if I moved to the new state, I would change it. No way for him to prove me wrong then and there.
